Rail has in recent years turned up as a viable alternative to air and sea when it comes to transporting larger quantities of spares. Rail is relatively fast, approximately 14 days of transportation, its cheaper than both air and sea and best of all, it is eco-friendly.
The route from China to Europe (destination Hamburg) has been done sucessfully plenty of times, and works out just perfectly.
Keep in mind deadlines for delivery of spares, and when delivered there is now way to get the spares offloaded until safely at the end station.
